Scott Richard Wood

Scott Richard Wood, 62, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born November 8, 1958 in Fremont, the son of Harry "Dick" and Doris (Boskovich) Wood. On September 30, 1995 he married Mary Alyce McClure.

Scott was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a tree trimmer for over 25 years and previously worked as a steel worker and in construction. His greatest pride and accomplishment was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife Mary, children: Ashley Ellis and Anthony (Meghan) Ortmann all of Fremont; grandchildren: Ransom Ratliff Grammar, Phoenix Driftmyer; Adriana Barnes -Ortmann, Makayla Ortmann and Greyson Ortmann; siblings: Pat Smith, Mark (Michelle) Wood, William (Lisa) Wood, Jeff (Mary) Wood, Dee (Mike) Hrynciw; nephew Howie Martin and niece Lorilynn Hallock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in laws Keith and Virginia McClure.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Synodically Authorized Minister Maureen Pump will officiate.
