William R. Breau, 76, of Helena passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was born on April 28, 1947 in Jay, Maine to the late William and Georgette (Poulin) Breau.

William proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1969. On July 30, 1971 in Port Clinton, he married the love of his life, his rock, Kathleen Garber. For many years he installed and removed insulation products for the Toledo Insulators Local 45.

William will be remembered as a true outdoorsman, encompassing hunting, fishing, rock hunting, hiking and enjoyed wild life of all kinds. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife and family. On laid back evenings William enjoyed his Moxie and Bourbon. He loved to play card games and marbles with family.

Surviving is his wife Kathy; children Zeke (Kelly) Breau of Broadalbin, NY, Gidget (Ryan) Tyson of Cygnet, OH and Sarah (Buddy) Zender of Rising Sun, OH; grandchildren, Paige, Alli, Mathew, Rob, Maddie, Bryce, Gabe, Eli and Anna; and siblings Doug, Lenny, Karen, Chris, Jamie, Danielle.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for William will be held on Monday, March 25th from 11AM-1PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg with a memorial service to follow beginning at 1PM. Fr. Tad Oxley will officiate. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home.
