Timothy M. Younker, 71, of Port Clinton, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born on October 21, 1953, in Fremont, the son of Lyle and Marilyn (Schnoor) Younker. On March 7, 2000, he married Sally K. Beckley.
Tim was well-known for his career as an insurance agent, but it was his passion for cooking, farming, and dogs that truly defined him. He fondly reminisced about his childhood summers spent at Lake Erie, where he found joy in fishing and hunting. He also loved the outdoors and was known to be a great dancer.
One of Tim's most infamous adventures occurred in 1989 when he raised buffalo on his farm. In a legendary moment, the buffalo decided they wanted a little freedom and made a dash for town, resulting in a hilarious chase that caught the attention of several media outlets and even got a mention from Paul Harvey himself! It was a memorable incident that became part of local lore, showcasing Tim's vibrant spirit and sense of humor.
Surviving is his wife, Sally; children: Jacob (Crystal) Younker, Laura (Jamie Hurst) Senior, Heather (Brian) Finck; grandchildren: Douglas, Fayma, Keelan, Devyn and Liam; brothers Daniel (Patti) Younker, Stephen (Montressa) Younker and Jonathon (Karen) Younker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
