Thomas Manahan

Thomas Eugene Manahan, 83 passed peacefully with his family near on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Louise (Billow) of 62 years.

Son of deceased parents, Fred & Bernice Manahan of Fremont, and brother of deceased Richard (Joan) and George Manahan.

Survived by Son Scott (Laura), Son Jerry (Carla) and Daughter Lisa (Jon) Baird. Grandchildren Emily (Jena), Alana (Chester Morton), Matthew, Audrey (Mike Hudec), Katie, Diana, Addie and Ella, as well as great grandchild Josephine Rae.

He was a graduate of Fremont Ross HS in 1957. After high school, Tom worked for the US Postal Service in Fremont. He moved to the Whirplool Corp in Clyde, Ohio, which he "saluted" every time he drove past. Also worked for the Sears & Roebuck Co. Distribution.

Tom and Lou were long-time parishioners of St. Ann's Catholic Church (Fremont).

Tom was a member of the FRHSA Hall of Fame for his years of volunteer service as the Booster Club President and Successful Fundraising for Ross Athletics.
A Huge Fan of Sports, he loved to follow Coach Scott's (Nat. H.S. HOF) Baseball Teams as well as all of THE Ohio State Athletics.

Tom & Lou, along with a few Fremont friends, started the Manahan Tailgate, which over the past 30 years has hosted Tens of Thousands of our "Buckeye Friends".
Tom loved to drive the countryside with Lou for work & visiting family or simply to spot deer, look at boats on the lake or meet friends to grab a bite to eat.
He also loved playing cards with the guys. He was a Leader, Provider and Protector of his Family as well as a Confidant, Supporter and Agitator to his group of life-long Friends!
He will be Forever Loved & Missed!

Visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, December 21 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 22 at St. Ann Catholic Church beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont.

Monetary Donations in Tom's name can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church.
