Steven Alexander Butscher, born August 27, 1989, died at the age of 34 on November 13, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic while waiting for a liver donation due to Alpha 1 Antitrypsion Deficiency. Steven was the son of Dennis and Angela (Hay) Butscher. Steven was raised in Fremont.
He graduated from Vanguard Vocational Center in 2008 from Eletrical Trades with a scholarship.
Steven had worked at Crown Battery for more than 10 years, and had currently been working at Crescent Manufacturing where he was a machine operator.
His hobbies included woodworking, large and small models, camping, making crystals, building computers, and gaming online. Steven loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas, loved bird watching, and even took flying lessons. Steven's favorite person was his mother.
Surviving are his brothers, Dennis (Patty) Butscher II of Goshen, OH, Peter J. Butscher, Summer Hoffman, and Melanie (Anthony) Gomez, all of Fremont.
Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Cassandra Butscher; nephews, Alex and Austin Butscher; grandparents, Peter and Ruby (Shewell) Butscher, Gene Hay, and Mildred "Georgia" (Adkins) Case.
Services for Steven will be held on Saturday, November 18, at the Church of the Nazerene at 11:00am, with time for visiting to follow from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
Donations in Steven's name may be made to his family, in care of his mother, Angela Butscher.
