Stephen A. Wagner

Stephen A. Wagner, 75, of Fremont, passed away April 3, 2025. He was born December 14, 1949 in Fremont, Ohio, to Albert and Rita (Rodenhauser) Wagner. Stephen was a 1968 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School. On January 22, 1970, he joined the United States Army and bravely served in Vietnam from June until he was honorably discharged on August 25, 1971. In his younger years Stephen enjoyed snowmobiling. He also had a love for all kinds of racing, which he watched frequently, excavating and ice fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Noah Wagner and daughter, Lyndee Conner, both of Woodville, Ohio; grandchildren, Jay, Owen and Amber Conner, Lyndee and Audree Wagner; sister, Judy Wagner of Fremont; mother, Rita Wagner of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his father and infant brothers, David and Richard Wagner.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.

Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
