Stephen M. Grine

Stephen Michael Grine 56 of Fremont, Ohio passed away on Thursday December 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 12, 1964 in Fostoria, Ohio. He was a Fremont Ross graduate, class of 1983. He worked at Materion until his passing.

Steve enjoyed his family, traveling, and as we all know, was a die-hard Steelers fan. Steve loved his dog, Sassy, and Sassy surely loved him. His favorite activities included hosting family gatherings and cooking on the grill. He was a devoted husband to his wife Jozette of 29 years, and a loving father to his 5 children; Nicole Simms, Nichole Grine, Jocelyn Simms, Trey Grine, and Tyler Grine. Steve also loved spending time with his 7 grandchildren; Taylor, Jayce, Ayden, Amaya, Jaila, Khalil, & Nola, and always made sure everyone felt the love in the air.

Steve is survived by his wife, Jozette, and children; Nicole, Nichole, Jocelyn, Trey, and Tyler; and his four older siblings; Deborah (Paul) Brunner of Fremont, Rick (Debra) Grine of Fremont, Danny (Jane) Grine of Tiffin, Jeff (Marcia) Grine of Bettesville, and Stephanie (Louie) Castillo of Fostoria. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mae Lang and Richard Grine. 

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont, with funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Steve’s name may be made to the Grine family, in care of his wife, Jozette.
