Shirley A. Mullholand

Shirley A. Mullholand, 96, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont.

She was born on August 24, 1928 to the late August and Grace (Friar) Kraak in Fremont.

Shirley attended the Toledo Beauty School and worked as a beautician / owner of the Croghan Beauty Salon in Fremont. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a member of Rainbow Circle and served faithfully on numerous church committees, and assisted with funeral dinners for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering with Share and Care and was a member of the Fremont Garden Club and Colonel George Croghan Chapter DAR. She found joy in her family, collecting and refinishing antiques, and caring for her flower gardens.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael (Jennifer) Mullholand; grandsons, Mitchell and Mason, and brother, Norman (Jane) Kraak and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mullholand; parents, August and Grace; siblings, Charlotte (Nick) Turco, Myron (Dianna) Kraak, and Walter Kraak; as well as siblings-in-law, John (Dorothy) Mullholand, Mary (Ed) Soper, and Pat (Tom) Ryan.

Visitation for Shirley will be held on Saturday, March 15, from 9:00-11:00AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, Fremont. Services will begin at 11:00AM at the church, followed by burial at Lindsey Cemetery.
