Sherry Eileen Liskai-McComas, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
She was born on December 21, 1945 to the late Willie Willard and Dorothy (Shaw) Allen in Cumberland, Maryland. In 1963, Sherry graduated from Woodville High School. For many years she was an integral part of the 4th of July event planning in Woodville. She worked as an executive secretary for Catholic Charities, Glenn Graffice & Son, and later retired from the Sandusky County Clerk of Courts. On April 29, 2007, Sherry married her sweetheart, Ronald McComas at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. Sherry deeply loved and cared for her grandchildren. She had a compassion for animals, and her caring nature shown through in everything she did including tending to her plants and flowers.
Surviving is her husband, Ron McComas; children, Brian (Jill) Liskai of Bellevue and Julie (Aaron) Ash of Gibsonburg; step-children, Ronald McComas II of Columbus, and Cara Ann (Michael Steffen) McComas-Good of Fremont; grandchildren, Justin (Crystal) Liskai, Ty (Danielle Thornsberry) Liskai, Carter Ash, Pierson Ash and Katherine Ash; step-grandchildren, Xane Good and Alexander McComas-Steffen; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Hudson Liskai; siblings, Barbara Minich, Bill (Shelley) Hinkle, Jodie (Tom) Samson, and Scott (Dawn) Hinkle; sister-in-law, Lisa McComas; and her dear special friend, Rachael Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Dorothy Hinkle; and brother-in-law, Gary Minich.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 22nd of June, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, Gibsonburg with Fr. Scott Woods officiating. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. The family will gather for a luncheon and fellowship following Sherry's services at Anjulina's Catering & Banquet Hall on Hayes Ave. in Fremont.
Memorials in honor of Sherry may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Sandusky County Humane Society.
The family wishes to thank the Ballville Twp. Emergency Response Team, Sandusky County Life Squad, and the ER personnel at ProMedica Memorial Hospital for their prompt response, hard work and care for Sherry during her final moments.
