Scott Forgatsch

July 18, 1945 — April 17, 2023

Joseph Scott Forgatsch, 77, of Fremont, passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in the company of his family. He was born July 18, 1945 in San Francisco, CA the son of Joseph and Norma (Summey). Scott was a 1963 graduate of Fremont St. Joseph and went to work for Whirlpool, Fremont Police as a dispatcher, Fremont Savings Bank and Fremont Plastic Mold. During this period, he met his loving wife Marsha "Marty" Blechinger; they were married on October 13, 1984. Scott then went on to work in various departments within Century Die Co until his retirement in 2011.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Eagles, V.F.W. and the former Moose. Scott enjoyed music, cars, the History Channel and WWE Wrestling. He loved the company of his granddaughters.

Surviving is his wife Marty of Fremont; daughter Jean (Jay) Fry of Columbus; granddaughters Milah Rose "Rosie" and Eliza Marian Fry; sisters Karen (Ron) Gierhart of Fremont and Mary Jo (Rick) Rogers of Tiffin, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Marian Jean.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2-4P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Vigil services will begin at 4:00P.M. Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
