Sara Williams

Sara L. Williams, 80, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on September 17, 1943 in Del Rio, TX to the late Isidoro and Dora (Maldonado) Zapata.

Sara graduated from Sunnyvale High School in California. From there, she continued her education to become one of Silicon Valley's most well known licensed realtors of the 1980's.

On March 12, 1966, she married Gary R. Williams. Their 63 years together brought many day trips and vacations, but she was sure to make adventure part of their everyday life. Sara enjoyed gardening, gambling and finding the best bargains. She will be missed as the most dynamic, vivacious and gracious person one could ever meet.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gary; children, Lisa (Brad) Rose of Delaware, Selena (Craig) Inks of Fremont; grandchildren, Ty Wilson and Kit Wilson; Darby Collison, Sophie Collison, and their father, Phil Collison; sister, Nora Vigil and Adrienne (David) Mendez; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Isidoro (Dorothy) Zapata, Jr.

There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.

Memorials in honor of Sara may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
