Ruth Floriana

Ruth E. Floriana, 75, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1946 in Fremont to the late Chester and Martha (Barney) Rhoads.

For many years, Ruth worked at the former Steinbauer Farm Market in Clyde. She married Alfred Floriana on May 10, 1981 at Clyde City Hall. Though it might have been spur of the moment, Ruth and Alfred shared 40 wonderful years.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Alfred; children, Mike (Kathryn) Collins of Fremont and Pam McClelland of Lorida, FL; step-son, Rich (Brenda) Gilbert of Clyde; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Rhodas, Mary Fell, Barbara Mynatt, Sue McCoy and Debbie Custer; and many nieces and nephews of which she was like a second mother to.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Peck, Patricia Floriana, and Judy Rhoads; and brothers, Charles Rhoads, Ricky Rhoads, Scotty Rhoads, and Trumon Rhoads.

Ruth found comfort in her faith and loved the fellowship and support she received from her church family at the Family Worship Center. During the favorable seasons, Ruth was often found tending to her flower beds or doing yard work, and during the cooler seasons she liked to go all out decorating for the holidays.

Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 9 AM-12 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home beginning at 12 Noon. Pastor Lydia Clowers will officiate and burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Memorial contributions in honor of Ruth may be made to the care of the funeral home.
