Robert Charles Schell, 87, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was born February 9, 1935 in Fremont, the son of Charles and Alice (Nolan) Schell. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Gibsonburg High School.
On January 7, 1956 he married Barbara Schling at Saint Michael Catholic Church. He retired as an HVAC technician for Seaway Foodtown under the Pipe Fitters Local 50. Bob was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, Lions Club, NRA, Sportsmans Club and the Pipe fitters for 48 years. He served on Gibsonburg Council. His hobbies included model air planes, Fremont Pigeons Club, motorcycles, boating and darkrooms and cameras.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Barbara of Gibsonburg; children: Kimberly (Mike) Jividen of Gibsonburg, OH; Robert T. Schell of Huston, TX; Fred Schell (Debra) of Oregon, OH; grandchildren: Michael (Sarah) Jividen, Amanda (Josh) Collins, Nathan Jividen, Abbey (Justin) Kurth, Fred Schell, Jarrett Schell; great-grandchildren: Emma, Chloe, Gage, Lucas, Liam, Karmella, Isiah, Leah, Dominick and Wyatt.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8P.M. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home and Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the funeral home and will be livestreamed on his obituary page at
www.hermanfh.com. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department or American Cancer Society.
