Robert L. "Bob" Siefke

Robert L. "Bob" Siefke, 86, of Gibsonburg passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy, Toledo. He was born on April 12, 1938 in Martin, Ohio to the late Frederick and Florence (Arndt) Siefke.

On October 21, 1961, he married Marilyn Longanbach at Trinity Lutheran Church.

In 1985, Bob & Marilyn along with Tom & Sandy Overmyer and Larry & Connie Longanbach started the Fremont Toy Show. Since its origin, Bob has remained the co-chair for 39 years. Bob formed many lasting relationships with vendors and buyers throughout the years. He found great joy in collecting farm toys and fixing many toys and pedal tractors for others.

In his earlier years, Bob was a square dance caller for The Quarter Notes Orchestra and played dartball for Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a life long farmer, seed corn salesman and worked for Quality Farm and Fleet as well as TSC. Bob was also a longtime member of S.C.R.A.P.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Marilyn; children, Alan of Gibsonburg, Chuck of Gibsonburg, David of Gibsonburg, Becki of Elmore, and Kevin (Brandy) of Gibsonburg; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Kaspar and Janet (Clyde) Micheal of Fremont; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding him in death are his mother and father; brother, Emerson Siefke; brothers-in-law, Wayne "Beef" Longanbach and Bob Kaspar; and daughter-in-law, Jane.

Memorials in honor of Bob may be made to the family care of Marilyn.

Visitation for will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North St., Fremont, OH 43420 on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2-8 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont, OH, with an hour of visitation being held prior to the start of the services.
