Robert Hamilton

Robert V. Hamilton, 68, of Lindsey, lost his courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family Sunday evening March 23, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1956 in Fremont, the son of Virgil and Betty (Goucher) Hamilton.

Robert was a heavy equipment operator and construction foreman for Mosser Construction. Outside of work, Robert was a true outdoorsman. He had a deep passion for hunting, teaching 3 generations of deer hunters; fishing, and cruising on his motorcycles. However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family and friends. Dinner with his daughters was a cherished nightly ritual, filled with laughter and stories that will live on in our hearts.

He is survived by daughters, Tammy (Paul Whitaker) of Lindsey, Ohio and Angela (David Ickes) of Fremont, Ohio. Seven grandchildren, three bonus grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are siblings; Virgil Hamilton of Greenup,KY; Thomas Hamilton of Marysville, OH; Rick Hamilton of Columbus, OH; Wayne Hamilton of Columbus, OH;Betty June Hunt of Greenup,KY; sisters-in-law Susie Adkins of Chicago, Illinois and Lina Huether, brothers- in-law Gary Maynard, Randy (Thelma) Maynard, and Robert (Diane) Maynard all of Gibsonburg, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ora Jane "Sam" Hamilton on August 23, 2020.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Heminger, Robert Heminger, Samantha Crowl, Sierra Cooper, Troy Ickes, Jeremy Heminger, and Edward Ickes.

Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 2-7PM. Funeral Service will be held Noon on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Herman-Veh Funeral Home.
