Robert "Bobby" W. Schultz, 65, of Fremont passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Toledo. He was born on December 3, 1957 to the late Robert and Carol (Brody) Schultz.
Bobby proudly served his communities as a police officer for 33 years. He began his law enforcement career on the Port Clinton Police Department, then for the Fremont Police Department and retiring from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department in 2022.
His loved ones will remember his love of football and bodybuilding, but above all, Bobby loved his family most. He enjoyed drumming in his band, Excalibur and taking his motorcycle and corvette out for drives. He was a member of the Fremont, Bellevue, and Port Clinton VFW; the Fremont and Port Clinton Eagles; and the Fremont FOP.
Surviving are his first wife, Cynthia Geisman; children, Jeremy (Angela) Schultz of Port Clinton, Jennifer (Mike) Hudak of Pickerington, and Jason Robert (Andrea) Schultz of Sandusky; grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Schultz, Avery, Julia, and Daniel Hudak, and Tyler, Alexa, Zachery Robert, and Kaden Schultz; great-grandson, Theodore Robert Schultz; siblings, Valerie Reidy, Donna (Alan) Hewitt, Becky (Scott) Slauterbeck, all of Port Clinton, Candy Grace of Toledo, and Joshua Ballin of Bellevue; fiance, Paula Demuth; her children, Logan Lynn (Marissa) Demuth, and Austin James (Mary) Demuth; her grandchildren, Carson and Brezlyn Demuth; and many nieces and nephews.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carol; grandson, Gavin Robert Schultz; and beloved dog, Harley.
A time of visiting will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM, with an Eagles service beginning at 7:00PM and a Fraternal Order of Police service to follow beginning at 8:00PM.
