Ricky D. Riggs

Ricky D. Riggs, 62 of Fremont passed away on July 12, 2023 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. He was born on February 4, 1961 to the late Garrett Rudolph and Doris Ann (Meade) Riggs in Marion, Ohio. 

On November 16, 1985, he married Janette Graham in Marion, and have shared 37 loving years together. 

Ricky graduated in 1978 from Marion-Harding High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center. Throughout his career, he had acquired many certifications, including the Six Sigma Black Belt. He worked as a quality engineer for most of his career, most recently for LyondellBasell Perrysburg.

Ricky also graduated from the Vineyard Institute and became an ordained minister. He will be remembered as a friendly soul who shared his love of worship with others, and enjoyed playing the bass, drums, and keyboard with his worship band. He was a faithful member of New Hope Vineyard Church, Fremont.

He loved collecting movies and sharing his wealth of movie and music trivia with his friends and family. They'll miss his jokes and witty sense of humor. 

Left to cherish Ricky's memory are his wife, Janette; sisters, Gwen (Roger) Chase, Joyce (Lloyd) Reichardt, and Debra Smith; nieces Candy and Sara; nephews, Chris and David; and fur-babies, Brandon, Hershey, and Logan. 

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Doris; nephew, Shane; and multiple beloved pets. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at New Hope Vineyard Church (2507 Hayes Ave. Fremont, Ohio 43420) with funeral services beginning at 11:00AM. Graveside services will be held the following day, Thursday, July 20 at 11:00AM at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens (2622 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd. Marion, Ohio 43302)
