Regina M. Haubert, 87, of Helena, passed away on April 13, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 27, 1934, to Wilbur and Edna (Dudley) Schade of Helena. Regina (Jean) graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1953. On May 15, 1954 she married her childhood sweetheart, Donald (Don) Haubert of Helena at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Millersville.
She was initially employed at the family business, Schade’s Builders Supply, then Ole Zim’s Wagon Shed, from which she retired. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling with her husband and reading. Jean and Don experienced memorable trips to Europe, Washington, South Carolina, Renfro Valley, KY, Washington DC and Dollywood. She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s of Millersville parish and the Rosary Altar Society.
Jean is survived by her children Susan (Luther) Gibbs, Pamela (Dave) Zimmerman, Fremont, OH; Michael (Colleen) Haubert, Seneca, SC; daughter-in-law Deborah Haubert, Oak Harbor, OH; grandchildren Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer (Colonel Leland) Cowie, USAF, Lorton, VA; Abigail (Matt) Monnot, Chagrin Falls, OH; Brian (MaLinda) Gibbs, Fremont, OH; Tony (Rebekah) Zimmerman, Vickery, OH; Staci, (Jay) Ernsberger, Fremont, OH; Caleb, Hannah and Gabriella Haubert, Seneca SC; and great-grandchildren Leland Douglas and Aden Cowie, Maddox and Levi Monnot, Easton Weickert, Oliver Zimmerman, Konnor, Peyton and Brody Ernsberger; sister, Margie Weidemann, Clarkston, MI, and brothers Dan (MaryLou) Schade, Oak Harbor, OH and Joseph Schade, Orlando, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her precious children, Jodi and Douglas Haubert.
The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude for the compassion, love and support from Jean’s at-home caretakers, Martha Ortiz and Heather Ranes.
A Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Millersville on April, 21, 2023 at 10:30 in the morning with an hour of visitation prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Millersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
