Randy R. Myers, 67, of Risingsun, passed away on October 20, 2021. He was born in Fremont, Ohio on May 11, 1954, to Dwayne and Jane (Dymond) Myers. Randy attended Lakota High School and graduated with technical training from Vanguard. On September 12, 1972, Randy joined the United States Air Force. As a dock chief he specialized in technical aircraft maintenance for F-111s, performing aft inspections and traveling all over the world. He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1992, after 20 years of service. Randy worked for many years at Rural King in the gun barn department. In his free time, he loved golfing and played in a the golf league every year. Randy also enjoyed hunting and was a semi pro dart player, a skill he mastered while living in England during his service. He was a member of the Sportsman’s Club in Gibsonburg as well as the American Legion in Bradner where he had recently joined the color guard.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, David (Stephanie) Myers of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren: Paige Myers of Colorado and Randy James Myers of Las Vegas, mother, Jane Myers, siblings: James I. (Michelle) Myers of Waterville, OH, Julie (Tom) Jividen of Gibsonburg, OH, Rex (Marie) Myers of Risingsun, OH, Margarite Myers of Fremont, OH. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pennie Myers, and brother, William Myers.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of both Randy and his brother, William, on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the American Legion Post 338, 209 W. Crocker Street, Bradner, Ohio, 43406. Visiting will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. A service with military honors will begin at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Rex Myers to assist in his aftercare.
