Randy Lee Miller

Randy Lee Miller, 76, of Fremont passed away, March 2, 2025 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1949 in Fremont, the son of Mahlon E. and Georgia (Dymond) Miller.

Randy was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High and went on to serve in the Marines. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal with 1 Star, the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnamese Combat Medal with 1 device and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm. Randy maintained his commitment to the military long after his active service by serving as a member of the Military Funeral Honor Guard.

On March 2, 1985 he married Cynthia Newman, she survives in Fremont.

Randy was all about his family. He enjoyed baking, landscaping and volunteering his time to assist at the food pantry.

Surviving is his wife Cynthia, daughters: Ashley (Shawn Heidelburg) Miller; grandchildren Mackenzie Miller, Jayla Miller, Alexis (Elijah Wieczorek) Pocock, Emma Pocock; great-grandchildren Liam Pocock, Charlotte Wieczorek. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lamont S. Miller, sister Kathy L. Miller and daughter Melanie Pocock.

Memorial services will take place 11:00 A.M. on April 17, 2025 in the chapel at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 1793 W. McPherson Highway, Clyde, OH. Pastor Clayton J. Bailey will officiate. Military Graveside rights will be performed by the V.F.W. and American Legion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Sandusky County Food Pantry or Liberty Center.
