Paula A. Christensen

Paula Ann Christensen, 94, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living. She was born February 24, 1929 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Paul and Zella (Miller) Migala. She was a graduate of Port Clinton High School.

On July 17, 1948 she married Gordon Allen Christensen, he preceded her in death on August 17, 1991.

In her younger years she worked as a clerk for Bechberger Jewelry Store and was a receptionist for New Departure. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered her time for Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Paula enjoyed boating, golf, cooking, playing cards and antiquing. She excelled at everything she did.

Surviving are her children: Nancy (Bob) Williams of Fremont, Andrew (Bussara) of Port Clinton, William Christensen of Fremont; grandchildren: Anne (John) Kronk, Jane Mowery, Pam Christensen, Matthew Christensen, Darra Christensen; great-grandchildren Lily Kronk, Will Kronk, Noelle Christensen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Pamela Mitchell, brothers Andrew and William Migala.

The family would like to thank Kimi and the Elmwood staff for such loving care for their mother.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10-12P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at Noon at the funeral home. Lay Associate Minister Maureen Pump will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
