Paul Bauders

December 6, 1946 — June 18, 2022

Paul E. Bauders, 75, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Maguder Hospital. He was born December 6, 1946 in Bellevue, OH the son of Raymond Bauders and Lillian (Gardner) Robinson. On May 18, 2000 he married Sophia Ratliff.

Paul served in the National Guard was owner of Paul's Drive n Pick and worked for the Ohio State Patrol. Upon his retirement, he continued to work at local hardware stores and volunteered for Big Brothers & Sisters and Magruder Hospital. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, motor racing and flying kites. Paul never missed the opportunity to chat with a stranger or entertain a group of friends. He loved people, conversation, good music and a well made gin and tonic.

Surviving is his wife Sophie; sons Gregory (Tammy) of Michigan and Todd (Windsor) of Virginia; grandchildren : Chase and Alexis, Chelsea, Zachary, Walker, Margaret Ruth and Payson and great-granddaughter Charlie; sister Sharon Krall of Sarasota, FL; sister-in-law Sherry Bauders of Vickery, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lee Bauders, Jean Black and Jane Yeager.

 

The family will receive friends from 3-7P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH.
