It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Lindsay, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and teacher. Patricia peacefully departed this world on February 2, 2024, surrounded by her family at her residence in Fremont, OH.
Born on November 23, 1945, in Vickery, OH, Patricia was the daughter of the late Glenn and Mildred (Thompson) Coonrod. She grew up in a close-knit community, where she nurtured her love for education and inspired those around her with her passion for teaching. After completing her Bachelor's Degree and teaching certification, Patricia dedicated over two decades of her life to Fremont City Schools, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless students.
On February 24, 1968 she married her highschool sweetheart, Steven Lindsay; together they shared a lifetime of memories and nearly 56 years of marriage.
Patricia delighted in creating cherished memories with her grandchildren. Whether it was baking cookies, reading bedtime stories, playing board games, or cheering them on at their various activities, she treasured every moment with joy and love.
Outside of her family and career, Patricia had a deep appreciation for nature and spent many peaceful hours enjoying flowers and watching wildlife, especially birds and deer on the farm. Her involvement in Young Farm Wives and 4-H were just two examples of giving back and supporting the beauty of the world around her. Patricia's gentle and caring spirit will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Surviving is her husband Steven Lindsay of Fremont, OH; daughter Kristen Lindsay (Michael Schalk); sons Todd Lindsay and Chad (Kaila) Lindsay; grandchildren: Jackson, AJ, Gregory and Maddi; brother Gary (Brenda) Coonrod. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Terrie Golden and brother Tim (Dana) Coonrod.
