Pamela "Pep" L. Crowell

Pamela L. “Pep” Crowell, 61, of Fremont, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1960 in Fremont the daughter of Robert “Sandy” and Betty (Patton) St. Clair.

Pep was a graduate of Fremont Ross, worked for Sandusky County Adult Probation Department as well as owned and operated the family business, Universal Farms.

She was a 35-year member of Ballville Volunteer Fire Department and the first female firefighter in Sandusky County. Pep was also a member of the F.O.P.

Traveling, gardening, camping and photography were her other passions in life, second only to her grandchildren. Pep loved helping people and did so until the end. Her legacy will live on through her selfless gift of organ donation.

Surviving is her husband Douglas W. Crowell Sr., of Fremont, sons: Doug Jr. (Jessica), Tim (Katie) and Craig (Alicia); grandchildren; Logan, Lillian, Braxton, Brock, Addyson, Julia and Josie; siblings: Mike (Doris) St. Clair of Fremont, Pat (George) Smith of Kenton, Ann (Denny) Weiler of Fremont, Dan (Ginger) St. Clair of Denton, TX; in-laws Melvin (Ida) Crowell of Fremont, Janet (Hugh) Connor of Clinton Township, MI, David (Veronica) Crowell of Cleveland, TN, Shelly Crowell, Al (Kim) Crowell of Fremont, Bob (Betty) Crowell of Bonita Springs, FL; Matt (Tracy)Crowell of Hilliard,OH; Gina (Ryan) Nuhfer of Oak Harbor, OH, and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8P.M. at Herman -Karlovetz Funeral Home, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Memorial services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the funeral home, Bishop David Crowell will officiate. Private burial will take place at McGormley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Ballville Volunteer Fire Department or Sandusky County Humane Society.
