Norma Foos

Norma J. Foos, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 6, 2024 at the age of 92 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Fremont. Born on October 11, 1931, to the late Delbert and Doris (Rogers) Smith. Norma was a woman ahead of her time, dedicating her life to the well being of her four children as a single mother and a excellent mother in law.

Throughout her life, Norma found joy in the simple things, cherishing moments spent sewing and tackling crossword puzzles. Her love for animals was evident in the warmth and compassion she showed to all creatures big and small.

Surviving are her children, Mark Foos of Huntsville, Alabama and Kevin Foos and his wife, Sandra Lawson-Foos of Luckey; inlaws, Bud Grove of Fremont and Becky Foos of Dover, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristopher and Tonya (Vogel) Foos, Jonathon and Stephanie Foos of Risingsun, Ohio, Doug Foos, Fernley, Nevada, Tim and Roxie Grove, Andrew and Angie Grove of Fremont, Ohio; and ten great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her children, Kathy Grove and Mike Foos; granddaughter, Tammy Paige; and siblings, Jack and Roger Smith.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday the 12th at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg at Noon. Pastor Tim Sherman will officiate.

Norma J. Foos will be deeply missed but never forgotten, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the enduring spirit of a mother who selflessly dedicated herself to her family. May she rest in peace.
