Noe Almaguer, 65, of Akron, Michigan formerly of Fremont passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 21, 1955 to the late Guillermo and Juanita (Serna) Almaguer. He was a 1975 graduate of Fremont Ross where he played football and track. Until relocating in 2010 to Michigan, Noe was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.
He worked as a lead mechanic for the Pioneer Sugar Company, retiring after 43 years of service in 2018. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and could often be found at his rural home, which he loved, tending to his flower beds and rock garden. He was a sports fanatic which included his beloved Wolverines, Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, and playing golf.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving life partner of 40 years, Gene “Skip” Bliss; siblings, Robert (Dee) Almaguer of Clyde, Lucy Martinez of Harlingen, Texas, Estella Garza of Driscoll, Texas, Hilda (James) Palomo of Fremont, Ohio, Roy (Rosie) Almaguer of Robstown, Texas, John (Mary) Almaguer of Mesa, Arizona, and Emma Hines of Fremont, Ohio; special second parents, Gene and Freda Bliss; special friend, Mary Klausz; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jose and Ramiro Almaguer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends and family will be welcomed to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 3-7 P.M. Those attending are required to wear a mask to enter the facility. Please be patient as admittance will be guided to adhere to social distancing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish 11:00 a.m. An additional hour of Visitation will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Fr. Krzysztof Kardzis will officiate and burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
