Nancy J. Gerwin

Nancy J. Gerwin, 61 of Gibsonburg passed away on August 4, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

She was born on September 5, 1960 to the late Paul and Lois (Richter) Gerwin in Fremont.

A graduate of Penta Career Center and Woodmore High School, Nancy went on to work for Penta for over 30 years as a secretary. She then worked for Ohio Virtual Academy and Bay Tractor and Turf before retiring.

Nancy was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge. She had sang in the church choir since she was in 4th grade, and was active on various committees within the church. She was also a member of the Stony Ridge Civic Association. Nancy enjoyed life on the family farm, and shared many memories with her nieces and nephews. Crocheting, sewing, cooking, and baking were a few of Nancy's favorite pastimes, but she especially loved traveling with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Fred (Tammy) Gerwin, and Duane "Dewey" (Diane) Gerwin; nephew, Kyle (Debra) Gerwin; nieces Ashley and Lily Gerwin; and great nephews, Owen and Austin.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lois, and niece and nephew, Brittney and Bradley Gerwin.

A time of visitation will be held for Nancy on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge with an hour of visitation held prior. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.

Memorial donations can be made in Nancy's name to St. John's Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
