Nancy L. Beatty

Nancy L. Beatty, 91, of Fremont passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Elmwood Communities in Fremont. She was born in Fremont to the late Walter and Florence (Wurzel) Wasserman on September 21, 1930.  In 1948, Nancy graduated from Fremont Ross High School. She married George Beatty on February 12, 1949 in Greenup, KY, and he preceded her in death in 2001. For many years she worked as a Laboratory Histologist at Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1992. Nancy was a member of the Fremont Eagles Retired Eagles Activities Club and organized their bus trips. She loved to travel and wintered for several years in Gulf Shores, AL, with her husband, George.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (William) Linder of Fremont, Christine Taylor of Sandusky, OH, and Michael (Yvonne Hammer) Beatty of Fremont; grandchildren, Renae (Michael) Cotton, Melissa Linder, Benjamin Schmeltz; sister, Pat Hoffman of Gahanna, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, David Scott Beatty, siblings, Jean VanNess, Joseph Wasserman, Dorothy Little and Daniel Wasserman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420.  Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Matthew Wheeler will officiate.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
