Melvin Crowell

Melvin Crowell, 87, of Fremont, passed away August 18, 2024, at Bellevue Care Center. He was born September 14, 1936, in Fremont, Ohio, to Ira and Julia (Heberling) Crowell.

Melvin graduated from Fremont Ross High School. He grew up farming and was a supervisor for several industries over the years, including the Pioneer Sugar Company in Fremont and Staley Manufacturing. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and would take an annual fishing trip to Canada.

Surviving is his wife, Ida Crowell; children, David (Veronica), Douglas, Shelly, Allen (Kimberly), Bobby (Betty), Gina Nuhfer, and Matthew Crowell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister, Janet Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Perry; daughter-in-law, Pamela "Pep" Crowell.

 Per Melvin's wishes there will be no services at this time.
