Fremont- Max R. Miller, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on April 4, 1943 in Springfield, OH to the late Carl and Verlie (Crabtree) Miller.
Max loved spending time with his family. He was an avid NASCAR fan. His hobbies included racing go-karts with his children, rebuilding starters and alternators and finding the shorts on any automobile. He loved boating and especially loved fishing on Lake Erie with his special buddy of over 20 years, Earl Haas.
He graduated from Springfield High School and earned an Associate's degree from Clark State University in engineering. He owned Troy Auto Electric in Troy, OH during the mid 1970's. He was a Tool Engineer for Stolle Corporation in Sydney, OH, and Armstrong Air Conditioning, Inc. Bellevue, OH. In his later years, he owned his own Handy-Man business.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rosemary (Bates) Miller; children: Blane (Diane) Miller, Tess (Rorie) TerHune; stepdaughter, Amy (Ryan) Richter; grandchildren: Ryan, Trisha, Wyatt and Brecken; step grandchildren: Alesha and Brandon; step great-grandchildren: Sylas and Maisie; and siblings: Lee, Carol and Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale.
Memorials may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
In honor of Max's wishes all services will be private. The care of Max has been entrusted to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont.
