Mary Magdalena Sanchez

Mary Sanchez, 96, of Lindsey, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2021 at her residence.  She was born July 22, 1924 in San Antonio, TX to the now deceased Maximo and Felipa (Vargas) Reyes.

On July 19, 1948 she married Arnold Sanchez, he preceded her in death February 13, 1998.

Mary was employed by W.S.OS. Community Action as a Head Start and Senior Center Cook. She also worked part-time for several years at her daughter’s dog grooming business.  In addition to her family, she had a great love for flowers and plants, she could make a stick grow. Mary spent many enjoyable hours doing word search puzzles and traveling.

Surviving are her children: Gilbert (Julie) Sanchez, Gary Sanchez, Denise Sanchez, Dennis (Shelly) Sanchez, Sandra (Ismael “Tony” Venegas)

Sanchez, Sylvia (Jerry) Cox and Paul Sanchez; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren, brother Maximo Reyes, and nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Joe and Henry Reyes, sisters Julia Valdez and Elvira R. Garcia.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 4-6 P.M. at Herman-Veh Funeral & Cremation Services, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, where rosary services will begin at 5:45P.M.

Masks are required for all services, social distancing measures will be in place.

A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:30A.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2020 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Fr. Scott Woods will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg.
