Mary Louise "Mary Lou" (Pollock) Parker, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, Ohio. Mary Lou was born on December 15, 1929 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of James D. "Dan" Pollock and Wilma R. (Green) Pollock. She was a 1947 graduate of East Liverpool High School. 

On April 23, 1949. Mary Lou married her high school sweetheart, the late Raymond J. "Jerry" Parker. They became the parents of three sons: David J., Robert A., and W. Roger. Mary Lou was secretary to the administrator of Vanguard Vocational School for several years. She then became the executive secretary to several superintendents of the Fremont City School District for over 25 years until her retirement in 1996. 

Mary Lou enjoyed camping, boating, and golfing. She was also very involved with St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a loving, selfless devoted wife, mother, grandmother and caring friend to many. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by Jerry, her husband of over 70 years. Also preceding her were two brothers: J. Richard "Dick" Pollock and Robert R. "Bob" Pollock, and her grandson, Jordan C. Parker. Mary Lou is survived by her three sons: David (Debi) Parker of Findlay, Robert (Nancy) Parker of Fremont and Roger Parker of Fremont. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Joel Parker of Toledo, Ashley (Dr. Patrick) Wald of Columbus, Erika (Dr. Mark) Naddaf of Ottawa Hills, and Eliot Parker of Fremont, as well as six great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Elmwood Assisted Living & Skilled Nursing of Fremont and Heartland Hospice for their loving care shown upon Mary Lou and the support and compassion to her and her family. 

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Saturday December 21, 2024 held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 206 N. Park Avenue, Fremont, Ohio at  11:00 AM. A light luncheon and visitation will follow the service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions in Mary Lou's honor may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont, have been entrusted with her arrangements. Online condolences may be made at HermanFH.com.
