Marjorie K. Clark

Marjorie Kathryn Clark, 95, of Medina, OH, formerly of Gibsonburg, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022, at Western Reserve Masonic Community, after a brief illness.

Born in Lorain, OH, on March 17, 1927, Marge was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Smith) Burke. She graduated from Lorain High School, and attended Ohio Wesleyan University prior to her marriage to Carter on August 10, 1946. She then completed her education at the University of Toledo.

As high school English teacher at Gibsonburg, Marge also directed many of the high school musicals there. She was choir director, organist, and active member of Faith United Methodist Church for many years. As a board member of the Birchard Public Library, she was instrumental in the construction of the Gibsonburg branch. She enjoyed her memberships in Sorosis Club and United Methodist Women. She served on the board of the Western Reserve Masonic Community, where she resided, and was an advocate for the Memory Care Pathways expansion completed in 2014. Marge was an avid reader, bridge player, and crossword puzzle solver.

Marge is survived by her three children, Bill (Rita) of The Villages, FL, Beth (Tom) Fragasse of New Philadelphia, OH, Patty (Ron) Console of Cleveland Hts, OH, grandchildren, David (Shannon) Clark, Melissa Klotz, Michael (Gloria) Fragasse, Matthew (Arica) Console, and Lena Console. Seven great-grandchildren complete the family, Zoe and Maya Klotz, Jacob, Rebecca, and Isabelle Clark, and Patrick and Vincent Fragasse.

In addition to her husband, Carter, and her parents, Marge is preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Blocher, and her granddaughter, Donna Fragasse.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, with Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. The family will then receive friends at the Gibsonburg American Legion Post 17, 300 S Main St, Gibsonburg for fellowship and lunch.
