Marilyn (Waters) Kerik, 82, of Fremont, was received by the Lord on February 27, 2024.
She was born February 4, 1942 to the late John and Marie C. (Phillips) Waters. A graduate of Parma High School, Marilyn went on to attend Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1964 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education.
On May 29, 1965, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Kerik, at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Parma and shared 54 years together before his passing in 2019.
Marilyn worked as a speech language pathologist with Port Clinton City Schools, retiring in 2002.
An avid craft maker, Marilyn created homemade teddy bears and personalized shirts for those she loved. She also enjoyed basketweaving and spending time outdoors boating and camping. Her family will remember her love of the holiday season and spending time at her home.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Scott (Maureen) Kerik of Marblehead, OH two daughters, Sue (Dan) Klaus of Burgoon, OH, and Melissa (Tom) Rosenberger of Kansas, OH; six grandchildren, Maryn Klaus, Mason, Brady, and Kendyl Rosenberger, and Larisa, and Kenny Kerik; as well as her two beloved dogs, Paisley and Myken.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial service to follow beginning at 12:00pm. Marilyn's family will be hosting a celebration of life following services.
