Mari Jo (Kaiser) Daugherty, 72 of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from complications due to lung cancer at ProMedica Memorial Hospital with her husband by her side. She was born on September 30, 1952 in Fremont to the late William O. and Lola I. (Schwartz) Kaiser.
Mari worked for Crown Battery for many years and became a fulltime stay at home mom when she met the love of her life, Jeff, and the two of them decided to blend their families.
She loved cooking and baking, hosting all events for the family, and she did it with such pride. She was the glue to the family.
She enjoyed boating, traveling, and really enjoyed watching her grandkids grow up and making memories with them.
Mari is survived by her husband, Jeff Daugherty; her son, Matthew (Buffy) Sours; step-daughter, Shanan Iddi all of Fremont; grandchildren, Nathaniel Sours of Lima, and Nevaeh Hawthorne of Columbus; as well as many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola I. Kaiser; father, William O. Kaiser; daughter, Nicole M. Sours; step-son, Joshua Daugherty; twin brother, Michael J. Kaiser; and sister, Diane Boos.
Visitation for Mari will be held on Friday, January 17 from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. Funeral Services will begin at 12:30PM, with burial to follow at McGormley Cemetery.
Donations in Mari's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
