Linda E. Huss, 73, of Fremont passed away on Sun., Oct. 6, 2024. Born Sept. 3, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA, Linda was the oldest of three children of Leonard (d. 1974) and Eileen (Loheyde) Hazlett.
In 1969, Linda graduated from Orange High School in Chagrin Falls, OH. She earned her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in 1973, specializing in elementary education.
While at BGSU, Linda met the love of her life, Ronald C. Huss, in a foundations of marriage class. After they both graduated, she and Ron married in Pepper Pike, OH at Garfield Memorial Church on June 15, 1974.
Linda began her teaching career at Bowling Green City Schools. She worked there for five years until she and Ron moved to Fremont where she helped to establish and lead Noah's Ark Preschool at Grace Lutheran Church. She proudly focused on the children's emotional and social needs, as well as their academic learning at Noah's Ark for 20 years. She left the preschool she helped build to focus on raising her family, pouring her nurturing love into her three boys, Nathan, Ben, and Neil. Later, Linda worked at the Hayes Presidential Center until her retirement.
In her free time, Linda liked to work on jigsaw puzzles, diamond dot images, read, sit with Ron outside, shop, and travel to visit her grandchildren. Her vibrant spirit and loving dedication to her family made her the "spark" of the family. Linda found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, always eager to be involved in the lives of her grandchildren, creating lasting memories and immersing them in love.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 50 years, Ron, who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges; children, Nathan (Jane) Huss of Urbandale, IA, Benjamin (Jody) Huss of Springboro, OH, and Neil (Jacklyn) Huss of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Gian, Berkley, Emerson, Adelyn and Allison; mother, Eileen Hazlett of Twinsburg, OH; and brothers, Lesley (Mary) Hazlett of Chagrin Falls, OH and Leonard (Donna) Hazlett, Jr. of Dallas, GA.
