Linda M. Holcomb, 71, of Gibsonburg passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont. She was born in Fremont on January 11, 1950 to the late Donald E. and Lois (Samson) Fox.
After graduating from Gibsonburg High School in 1968, Linda began working at Goodyear/Motor Wheel Corp., Luckey where she did several jobs for 30 years.
On October 26, 1973, she married George J. Holcomb at Zion Lutheran Church. Along with being a member of the church, she sang in the choir, attended Bible Study, and dedicated herself to it's congregation working as the church secretary, for many years.
Linda enjoyed traveling. She often would venture out to try new restaurants with her friends and the company of people she loved. She also liked to play pool and was on several pool leagues. Linda was a very family oriented person. To her family and many others, she was known to be the "Go To" person in their lives.
Surviving are her children, Danny (Evie) of Caryville, TN, Luanne Riggs of FL, Melody (Roger) Holding of Crystal River, FL, Michelle (Jerry) Ketcham of Bellevue and Heather (Craig) Rubel of Gibsonburg; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Fox; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Holcomb; step-son, Randy Holcomb; and siblings, Bill Fox, Sr., and Shirley Wilhelm.
Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 2-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg at 10:30 AM where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the start of the service. Pastor Matthew Zuehlke will officiate, and burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. For those unable to attend funeral services, livestreaming will be available on the funeral home's main page under the live webcasts tab. Recorded services have been added and may be viewed at the end of her Tribute Video on her obituary page.
