Green Springs- Leonila Villalon, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 28, 2018 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 22, 1944 in San Juan, TX to the late Calixtro and Catalina (Torras) Gonzales. Leonila was a 1964 graduate of Port Clinton High School.
She worked for Cal-Van Tools in Fremont as a laborer for many years. Leonila enjoyed trips to the casinos and playing the slot machines.
In 1965, she married Hector Villalon; he survives. Also surviving are her children, Deanna (Robert) Hines of Ruskin, FL, Debra (Raymond) Mardell of Lithia, FL, Mark Villalon of Columbus, OH, Brian Villalon of Oak Harbor, Tony Villalon of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Mark Parsons of San Antonio, TX, Lukas & Sabrina Mardell of Lithia, FL, Alexandria Villalon of Oak Harbor and Gracie Oddo; sister, Grace (Grant) Skeen of Ripley, WV; sister-in-law, Mary Gonzalez of Laredo, TX; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Leonel, Fernando, Romero and Ruben Gonzalez.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 where Funeral Services will begin at 8 p.m. Rev. Jeffrey Smith will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
