Lawrence Keim, Jr

Lawrence David Keim, Jr., 89, of Old Fort passed away on Dec. 1, 2018 at Countryside Manor, Fremont. He was born on May 21, 1929 in Old Fort to Lawrence D. Keim, Sr and Nellie (McDaniels) Keim.

Lawrence graduated from Old Fort High School in 1948 and later, served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On Feb. 6, 1954, he married Janet Voelzke in Angola, IN. Lawrence worked until his retirement for Columbia Gas servicing the Old Fort and Green Springs area.

In addition to his wife, Janet; he is survived by his son, Lawrence David Keim, III; and siblings, Sharon Warner, Carol Harrah, and Peggy Boroff.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marjorie Rathburn, John Keim, Robert Keim, Richard Keim and June Fate.

Memorials may be made to Old Fort School District.

Lawrence gave his body for the advancement of knowledge to medical science. As such, there will not be any public services held for him. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
