Loretta Sieberg, 97, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on January 9, 1924 in Cookeville, TN to the late Joseph L. and Margarett (Martin) Patton. Loretta graduated from Pleasant Hill Academy in 1942; later receiving her associate degree from Austin Peay State College.
Being a true athlete, Loretta played college basketball and was part of her college traveling folk dancers. She married Frederick Sieberg on December 1, 1945 in Clarksville, TN. Together they shared 44 years of marriage until his passing on November 2, 1990. Loretta worked as a receptionist at the Hayes Presidential Center until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed quilting, playing checkers, and having the TV tuned into PBS for their music broadcasting. Loretta had a deep love for her family and was always available to be an audience to her sons as they performed their music.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Michael (Sandra) Sieberg of Clyde, Thomas Sieberg of Toledo, and Edward (Mary) Sieberg of Jackson, TN; daughter-in-law, Deborah Sieberg; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and sister, Elsie Jo Tescari.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; son, Steven Sieberg; daughter-in-law, Colleen Sieberg; and siblings, Othel Patton and Vauta Tenney.

Visitation will be held at Ole Zim’s, 1375 N OH-590, Gibsonburg on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 10-11 AM. Those attending are required to wear a mask to enter the facility. Funeral Services will follow, beginning at 11:00 AM Rev. Henry Seibert will officiate. Committal Services will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde at 1:30 PM.
