Kenneth "Zeke" Hasselbach

Kenneth “Zeke” Hasselbach, 77, of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Firelands Hospital, Sandusky. He was born on March 23, 1941 in Fremont to Richard & Helen (Babione) Hasselbach.

Kenneth was a 1959 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and enlisted in the Army Reserves. He worked for Sunrise Co-Op transporting grain as a semi driver. Kenneth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont. He enjoyed camping, mowing his grass and watching Hallmark movies.

Surviving are children, David E. Hasselbach of Oregon, Edwin K. (Jeanann) Hasselbach of Oak Harbor, and Melissa L. Sears of Oracle, AZ; grandchildren, Gabriel, Seth, Phillip, Melissa and Brayton; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene (Sharon) Hasselbach of Fremont; and sister-in-law, Patricia (Dennis) Brudzinski.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Calvin Hasselbach.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with an additional hour of visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Beth Giller will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
