Kathleen Ann "Kathi" (Gerwin) Burmeister was born February 6, 1942 to Carl Henry Gerwin and Lucile Irene (Balsizer) Gerwin at Memorial Hospital, Fremont, Ohio.

She had two brothers Ronald C. (Karen Carr) and Edward C. Gerwin whom are all deceased.

On February 27, 1965 she married Larry Henry Burmeister at Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont. Of that union, she had two children Mark Charles (Tammy) Burmeister and Kay Lucuile (Brent) Saionz. She had three grandchildren Andrew Carl (Molly) Burmeister, Amanda Jean Burmeister and Megan Kathleen Burmeister.

Kathi is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, Brothers-in-law Lamar (Sue) Burmeister and John (Nancy) Burmeister. Sisters-in law Joann (Ed) Brugger, Betty (Charlie) Gonya, Sandra (Dave) Burmeister, Kathy Burmeister, and Sarah (James) Auen. Many nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers, sister-in-law Karen Carr and brothers-in-law Dave Burmeister, James Auen, and Ed Brugger.

Kathi worked at Memorial Hospital, Fremont, Ohio in the Dietary Department and then for 38 years for C. Wesley Bristley Attorney in Fremont, Ohio.

Kathi was a lifelong Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont where she was in Joy Circle. She was in Card Club for many years with her beloved friends. She enjoyed going to Sandusky County Fair and Lucas County Fair to watch her children and grandchildren show rabbits.

Kathi loved going to sporting events and concerts for her children and grandchildren. She collected salt dips her whole life. She also collected Lee Middleton Dolls and Fenton Art Glass bells. She was a member of the National Fenton Glass Society for almost 20 years. Her daughter and she traveled to Marietta, Ohio in July for many years to the collectors convention and enjoyed visits with friends that they had made there.

Visitation will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont on Saturday, December 4th 2021 from 9:30AM-11:00AM with Memorial Services beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont.
