Karen Louise Longanbach, 77, of Fremont, passed away December 21, 2019 at Valley View Health Campus. She was born on October 16, 1942 to Louis and Olive (Long) Binder in Fremont, Ohio. Karen was a 1961 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She married Wallace “Wally” Edward Longanbach on June 29, 1968 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2008. Karen worked as a clerk for Prairie Market and exhibited her creative skills working as a florist for Foodtown and Hershey Flowers. She loved drawing, making floral arrangements and working on assorted crafts, some of which included wreaths and decorative brooms. Karen was also a member of OCCL and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Michael (Sherri) of Fremont, OH, Marie (Chris) Hausman of Fremont and Michelle (Kevin) Noice of Galloway, OH, grandchildren; Noah, Erin and Blake Hausman, William “Billy” Noice, and sister, Sandra “Sandy” (Richard) Weiker of Clyde, OH. In addition to her parents, and husband, Wally, she is preceded in death by her sister, Janice Mooney and brother-in-law, Wayne Mooney.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Glenn Merrill will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
