Judy Girand, 83, of Gibsonburg, passed away January 21, 2025. She was born June 19, 1941, in Fremont, Ohio, to Bob and Betty (Ottney) Pressler. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On April 9, 1960, she married Robert "Bob" Girand at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg, and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2002, after celebrating 42 years of marriage. 

Judy was a receiving manager for Great Scott grocery for many years until her retirement in 2005. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed relaxing with a good book, birdwatching, watching football and cheering for her favorite teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. Judy was also a long-time member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bob (Pam) Girand of Kansas, OH, Karen Gackstetter (Todd Tiell) of Helena, OH, Shelley Girand (Kathy McMillan), Chad Girand, both of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Ashley Huss, Ryan Gackstetter, Stephanie Girand, Sarah Girand, Steven Girand, Mariah Girand, Danny Girand, Makayla Girand; great-grandchildren, Avie B. Huss, Chance, Aliyah, Brynlee, Mila; brother, Bob Pressler, sister, Mary Vandersluis, both of Fremont, and her beloved pet, Dory. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vicki VanNess, and great-grandson, Zeke.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Monsignor Tad Oxley will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
