Judith Kay Gahn, 81 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Fremont surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on October 25, 1940 in Lima, OH to Charles and Mary (Mack) Bennett. Judy was a 1958 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Ping-Pong Champion.

She graduated from Lima Memorial Hospital and Ohio Northern University in 1960. On August 1, 1964 she married Roger Gahn at Grace Lutheran Church and he survives. Judy was a Registered Nurse and Director of Utilization Review at Fremont Memorial Hospital for 49 years, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed eating tomato sandwiches and canning them too, baking cookies, shopping, gambling, playing cards, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters Sue B. Gahn of Columbus and Becky (Duane) Beckley of Fremont, and son, Douglas Gahn of Fremont; grandchildren, Derek, Drew and Colt Gahn, Stephanie (Wayne) Fair of Cleveland, and Troy Turner; and great-grandchildren, Dominik, Alexzander, Noah and Samayah; brother, Larry (Barb) Bennett both of Fremont; and Aunt, Janice (James) Meredith of Lima, OH.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Catherine (Mack/Bennett) Goff and her father, Charles Bennett and step-father, Larry Goff and sister Saundra (Stanley) Gahn.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. The funeral service will begin on Wednesday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter, ProMedica Hospice or ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital Toledo, Ohio in Judy's memory.
