Joseph "Joe" U. Kidwell

Joseph "Joe" Kidwell, 83, residing in Bellevue Ohio, formerly of Huron, Ohio, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He passed peacefully at the Bellevue Care Center, where he had resided since April of 2023.

Joe was born Sep 6th, 1940 in Sandusky, Ohio. He was a graduate of Huron High School class of 1957.

He served in the U. S. Air Force for four years, in the early 1960's. He was employed at the Ford Assembly Plant, Lorain Ohio, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of York Chapel, Bellevue. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

Joe loved drawing (especially cartoon characters & animals), singing in church, eating Italian food (especially his Mom's), listening to and playing music, yodeling (he was good at it) and talking to his sister Mari nearly everyday on the phone. He loved to make people laugh and telling jokes.

Joe is survived by his wife Marilyn (Sears), step daughters Shelly (Searight) Gettys, Lori Ann (Searight) Miller, Patti (Searight) Crosson, stepdaughter Becky (Sears) Kinchee, (Jay) daughter Corinna “Cori” (Fiorvanti) Davis and son Jason (Tracie) Kidwell, his sister Mariann “Mari” (Norman) Bostater, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his, father Walter Kidwell, mother Angeline (Esposito) Kidwell, brother Dominic Kidwell, sister Martha "Marti" Kastor, sister Pattiann “Patti” Stropko and step son Kenny Searight.

There will be a celebration of his and his sister Patti's life later in the spring with family members.
