John Kimmet

John P. Kimmet, 86, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born on February 8, 1933 in Fremont, the only child of John B. and Janet (Tanner) Kimmet.

Phil was a graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in Fremont.  On March 6, 1954, he married Patsy Routson at St. Ann’s Catholic Community.  They were married for over 55 years until Patsy’s death in November 2009.  Phil worked and retired from the former Peter Eckrich & Sons as a quality control inspector.

He enjoyed his class reunions and was a man of routine.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are children, Tina (Bernard) Whitt, Lisa (Ken) Martin, Brock (Dawn) Kimmet, Brett (Anna) Kimmet and Shawn (Mindy Welch) Kimmet all of Fremont; grandchildren, Nichole Stewart, Angela Moore, David Moore, Eric Whitt, Ryan Whitt, Natasha Radosovich, Jamisha Doty, Brandon (Michelle) Kimmet, Tyler (Miranda) Kimmet, Kendra Lopez, Kyla Kimmet, Kira Kimmet, and Brayden Root; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy; and great-grandson, Brantley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.  A private Committal Service follow by burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
