Joann Oddo, 86, of Fremont, passed away December 28,2020 at Ottawa Riverview Campus in Oak Harbor, OH. She was born July 17, 1934 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Otto and Anna (Abowd) Boukissen. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High and went on to work in the family business Billy’s Restaurant as a waitress. On July 27, 1957 she married James A. Oddo. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1995. Joann enjoyed camping with her family, hosting Sitto’s Sunday Suppers and swim parties in her pool. She crocheted afghans for family and was an avid reader. She looked forward to her yearly Seattle trips to visit her daughter and family. Joann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are her children: Jennifer (Mark) Evans, Jeffrey (Janie) Oddo, Anna Crotty, JoAnn (Jeff) Adams, James A. II(Annette) Oddo and Jerald (Vicki) Oddo; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, sister Jeanette Famulare. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Alberta Salem, William Boukissen, Rose Boukissen and Joseph Boukissen. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 3-7 P.M. at Ole Zim’s Wagonshed, 1375 SR 590 Gibsonburg, OH, where vigil services will begin at 7P.M. Masks are required and social distancing protocols will be in place for all services. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont, OH. Fr. Timothy Ferris will officiate, the mass will be broadcast live via the livestream link at www.hermanfh.com. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
