A Celebration of Life for Jim and Jack Weaver will be held at Fremont Alliance Church (936 N. Brush St. Fremont, OH 43420) on January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM
Jim A. Weaver, 84, of Fremont passed away on Friday, October 8. He was born in Fremont on April 20, 1937 to Richard and Melba (Burkett) Weaver.
Jim was a 1955 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On February 2, 1957 he married Shirley Smith, whom preceded him in death on May 18, 2018.
Surviving are their children: Peggy (Dave) Meyer of East Aurora, NY, Connie (Joe) Quaintance and Mark Weaver of Fremont. Five grandchildren Daniel (Meghan) Meyer, Brian (Sarah) Quaintance, Stephanie Meyer, Nicole (Jason) Weiker and Danielle Weaver; 3 great-grandchildren Brielle, Braelyn and Olivia; twin brother Jack (Sandra) Weaver and sister-in-law Yvonne Smith.
Jim was a member of Fremont Alliance Church and a Charter Member of Sandusky Township Fire Department, retiring in 2014 after 50 years of service. He worked at Matthews Boat Company from 1955 to 1975 then went to work at Lowe and Nighswander retiring from Lowe Builders in 2000.
The family would like to thank the nurses on the 2nd floor at Promedica Memorial Hospital and Dr. Yuhas for the wonderful care that Jim received.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 12-2:00 P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio 43420. The family is requesting masks to be worn for all services. Funeral services will begin at 2:00P.M. at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Glenn Merrill. Live streaming of the service will take place via the livestream tab on the funeral home’s website Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
