Jerry W. Bateson, Sr.

Jerry W. Bateson, Sr., 73, of rural Gibsonburg passed away at the Addison Heights Center in Maumee on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

Born in Pemberville on November 15, 1946, he was the son of John and Doris “Love” (Clingo) Bateson.  After graduating from Gibsonburg High School in 1964, he served the country during Vietnam as a soldier in the US Army.  Returning from service, he worked at the Chrysler Machine Shop in Perrysburg.  He retired in 2009.

Jerry leaves behind his sons, Jerry (Leslie) Bateson, Jr. of Gibsonburg and Jim (Julie) Bateson of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Bradley, Brady, Mia, Nolan and Reid; sister, Nancy (Jim) Siville of Wayne, OH; and a host of very close friends and caregivers.

Services and interment with Military Rites at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 10 a.m.
